Foreign Languages and Professional Communication Department

Foreign Languages and Professional Communication Department is one of the largest departments of Kursk State University. The teaching staff of the department consists of 20 people, including 12 candidates of science and 4 doctors of science.

The Department develops language competency in three European languages: English, German and French.

The department provides master's program in the field of 45.04.02 Linguistics, focus (profile): Foreign language and intercultural communication, and postgraduate’s program in the field of 5.9.8 Theoretical, applied and comparative linguistics. The department also provides training in supplementary professional program «Translator in the field of professional communication» which develops translator’s competency in the field of written translation and interpreting.
