Preparatory year

International Preparatory Year programs train international students with little or no knowledge of Russian before they begin Russian-taught full-degree programs at Kursk State University and other Russian universities

Instruction in all educational programs (bachelor’s/specialist degree, master’s degree and PhD programs) at Kursk State University is given in Russian. Completing the preparatory year helps international students master the Russian language and culture so that they have enough language skills to easily participate in the programs provided by the KSU and other university.

International Preparatory Year is your chance to:

• study the Russian language at many different levels (А0-B1);
• acquire language skills for admission to KSU or another Russian university;
• complete a general preparatory course in programs related to your chosen field of study: Natural Sciences, Humanities, Economics, Engineering, and Medicine;
• discover education opportunities at KSU and join the vibrant student community;
• meet friendly Russian culture and traditions;
• live in Kursk - a wonderful modern city, rich in culture and history.

We have a team of highly qualified and dedicated professors, who use up-to-date interactive teaching methods and materials.

Our program includes:

• 24-30 academic hours of per week including Russian and your preferred program: Russian and Natural Sciences, Russian and Engineering, Russian and Humanities, Russian and Economics, Russian and Medicine (Monday-Saturday);
• program duration - 10 months;
• interesting extracurricular activities;
• tuition fee: 90 000 ₽/year.

You can apply for the Preparatory Year Course of a new academic year from Aprill, 1st to August, the 31st.
