How to Apply
Step 1. Choose a field of study
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, PhD degree
Step 2. Apply for a letter of invitation
Send all required documents to the International Admissions Office:
- Visa application form.
- Passport copy with a notarized translation into Russian.
- Copies of high school diploma or higher education diploma copies with notarized translation into Russian.
- Personal contact information.

Step 3. Confirm your arrival
Once your visa is ready and you have received the invitation letter from Kursk State University, inform the International Admissions Office about your arrival date at least 10 days prior to coming to Russia.
Government-funded basis programs
There are two options to enroll in the government-funded programs. Applicants can:
- pass the admission tests
- qualify for the competitive selection for the government scholarships
Certain categories of foreigners, compatriots living abroad and those who have resettled in Russia can enroll in the government funded programs at Russian universities on the same terms as the citizens of the Russian Federation. To do this the applicant must qualify for competitive selection by passing the admission tests.
Additionally, the Russian government annually provides a guaranteed number of government-funded places (government scholarships) for foreign applicants to attend higher educational institutions. Check the information here:
